I am a volunteer for an animal rescue group called AFRP.  They take animals who are adoptable but at risk of euthanasia in shelters, and keep them until they are adopted. I got an e-mail from the group asking for someone to take a cat out of Petsmart and put her in foster care as she had been there for months and is severaly depressed.(she just lies curled up in a ball)  I can't foster, I'm not allowed to have pets and am deeply allergic to cats (dogs and horses, so of course I love cats, dogs and horses)  But my mother can. so we are off to get smithers this morning.  You can see her here http://www.animalfriendsrescue.org/available/catsavailable.html  she's in the middle of row 20. 

if she gets along with Boo (my icon) Mom will probably adopt her.

*hyperventilates* the cats on that webpage are all so adorable. If I wasn't on the wrong side of the Atlantic...

What a wonderful organization to be part of...! I have rescue cats of my own, and I love to hear about other lucky animals finding homes.

I hope Smithers' relocation is permanent! Good luck! :)
